Carlos Tevez says that he is not considering leaving the Italian Serie A
Juventus striker Carlos Tevez says that he is not considering leaving the Italian Serie A outfit for a return to his homeland with Boca Juniors.
The Argentine outfit had been heavily linked with the striker for quite a while and the player himself has stated on several occasions that he would like to end his career in Argentina. Tevez has been in excellent form this season and he has been a major reason behind the club’s impeccable form in both domestic and European competitions. The player, who recently turned 31 years of age, still has a contract until the summer of 2016.
However, it has been speculated that he has come to a mutual understanding with Juventus to leave the club at the end of the campaign. Tevez has dismissed those rumours saying that he intends to see out his contract. He has contributed almost a goal per game either directly or indirectly. In the 37 matches that he has appeared in all competitions, he has already scored 26 goals. He is close to matching the league tally of 19 goals set last season. Tevez was expected to cause a lot of problems in the Juventus team but it has been the other way round, as the striker has been extremely professional.
"That's not true. I'm relaxed and I carry that with me on the field, without thinking about the future.I think I will continue to the end, as agreed with the director.Yes, like I've said,” said Tevez about staying at the club until 2016.“The only guarantee is that Tevez wants to respect his contract with Juventus,” said the player’s agent in response to the transfer speculation. Despite the rumours, it appears that Juventus are still keen on extending the contract of the 31-year-old by a couple of years.
